About me

I help people to relax, restore and recharge through my different offerings which include sound healing, nature connection, qigong and women’s circles

In 2018, I took a break from my very busy career as a primary teacher as I had burned out and was in need of time to reflect and work out the way ahead for me. I knew that things had to change and that I needed some balance in my life because the fast pace and heavy workload of my job had caused me to become exhausted, tense, anxious and depressed. It was at this time that I discovered Qigong.

Qigong is something that helps me to manage my mind and my body whatever is going on and allows me to rest.  I experienced a huge improvement in my health and general wellbeing together with a deeper sense of peace and inner calm. I have found a way to manage anxiety and tension through meditative movement. This allows me to take responsibility for how I feel. In January 2019, I embarked on the Teacher Training Programme with Clara Apollo which enabled me to learn more about this wonderful practice which I can now offer to people new to the practice.

Around the same time, I discovered sound healing at a Wellness event. I was fascinated by the sound of the gongs and singing bowls. After the wellness event, I found a local gong bath practitioner and attended gong baths regularly as I wanted to experience more sound. I found that these sessions were instrumental in enabling me to switch off and relax deeply, allowing healing to take place. I decided that I wanted to learn more and train as a sound practitioner.

Through my training with the College of Sound Healing, I have become much more aware of music, sound and silence, and their effects on me as I use them within the different contexts of my life. I have become more attuned to my inner self and to the needs of others when working with my sound healing instruments. It has been a privilege to see my clients respond so positively to sound and experience shifts in their lives.

More recently, I have been doing Wild Woman Project Circle training and Nature Connection and Forest Bathing Guide training. I will be able to offer these later on in the year.

“Tara is an excellent teacher who uses her own practice to inspire and help students. Her teaching is clear and she is approachable and easy to follow. She is happy to answer questions and explore areas that interest students. I would recommend her to anyone interested in qigong or who wants to develop their practice.”
